Delhi Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (DMRC) has prepared the DPR of this project and recommended extension of Line-3 from Sector-21, Dwarka to IFFCO Chowk, Gurugram. The length of this route is 12.225 km with the project cost of Rs5150 crore. Revised DPR received on 08.05.2015 from DMRC. In the revised DPR, DMRC have studied the following three options:

• Option 1: Extension of existing Airport Express line to IFFCO Chowk on the pattern of Gurugram and Faridabad.
• Option 2: Extension of existing Line 3 from Sector 21 Dwarka to IFFCO Chowk on the pattern of Gurugram and Faridabad.
• Option 3: Independent Express line from Sector 21 Dwarka to IFFCO Chowk with independent depot to be done
(a) on the pattern of Gurugram and Faridabad.
(b) on BOT basis.

A meeting to finalize Metro Link from Iffco Chowk, Gurugram to Sector – 21, Dwarka and Metro link to old Gurugram was held under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Chief Minister Haryana on 18.07.2016 During the meeting it was decided that DMRC may finalize alternative 1 i.e. (Sector-21, Dwarka-Bijwasan-Bijwasan Border-Palam Vihar-Maruti-NH 8-IFFCO Chowk (12 km long) i.e. after adding 1 additional station between Dwarka and Bijwasan Border which is named as Bijwasan) and submit the project cost of this link.Project has not been found feasible.
